Course Description

This course introduces students to traditional quilting patterns such as half square and quarter square triangles, quilting terminology, and tools such as the rotary cutter. Students learn how to design a quilt, and how to hand-stitch patchwork pieces. Hand-quilting techniques using the running stitch, and how to properly finish it with binding are explored. By the end of the course, students will have completed a wall hanging or small quilt.
