Course Description

Calling all creatives! Have you ever dreamed of working at a fashion magazine? Why not start your own? Learn how to create your own art or fashion zine (mini magazine) from concept to finish. Review a brief history of zines, what they are, their popularity, various publishing methods and where to find them. You will research and identify your ideal demographic, and then learn how to create, select, edit, engage and captivate your audience. By the end of this class you will have completed your own print and digital zines!

ELIGIBLE GRADES: High School students entering grades 9 through 12 as of the upcoming Fall semester.

  • Notebook or device to take notes in/on

  • USB/Flashdrive to share photos or content with class/instructor 

  • Ruler

  • Pencil
