Course Description

Senior Learners is designed for mature adults, 60 years of age and older, who are also New York State residents.

Learn the ancient art of wire-wrapping glass, semiprecious stones, and beads to make one-of-a-kind bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. This program introduces you to a variety of wrapping techniques. Start with free-form wrapping to create a pendant. As your skills advance, learn to make various styles of jewelry.

Notes

Required supplies, please bring to the 1st class: 

  • Round nose pliers
  • Chain nose pliers
  • Side cutters
  • 20, 22, and 24 gauge copper wire (no coating on the wire)
  • Sea glass
  • Beads and stones in various sizes - 6, 8, 10 mm 
  • Ear wires for earrings
