Course Description

From original idea to production and marketing, learn to make a complete comic book or graphic novel and get it published. Discover how to create interesting characters, write a compelling story, and lay out your pages to keep your readers engaged. Class discussions address the industry, careers, self-publishing, crowdfunding, and the business side of making comics. Students will work both traditionally and digitally. Drawing experience preferred but not required; recommended for aspiring graphic novelists who have some drawing skills.
