Course Description

Explore the role of a fashion stylist as it relates to the fashion industry. You'll learn the styling techniques for the entertainment industry, print and personal image consulting, body type analysis, shopping and prepping merchandise for clients, and about the diverse career opportunities in styling for the entertainment industry, retail personal shopping, magazine and e-commerce print, and image consulting. You'll also explore the business requirements and entrepreneurial opportunities in the field of fashion styling.

ELIGIBLE GRADES: High School students entering grades 9 through 12 as of the upcoming Fall semester.

  • Notebook and pen, tablets or laptops are allowed. 
  • We will be making mood boards in class. You may choose to do this digitally on your computer, or on larger size paper (16 x 20 suggested) and use markers, paint, magazine clippings and anything else you see fit.
Please note: Classes may be canceled due to low enrollment. We recommend that you wait until a week before class starts to purchase supplies. You will be notified by email if cancellations occur. Instructor assignments are subject to change.
