Course Description

This certificate explores the foundations and future of adaptive fashion—a growing field at the intersection of creativity, functionality, and social impact. Students learn to design garments that meet the needs of people with disabilities, chronic conditions, or mobility challenges while developing both design and business skills. Topics include empathy-driven research, functional construction, accessible textiles, user testing, and adaptive market strategies. Through hands-on projects and a final mini collection, students build a professional portfolio showcasing how inclusive design can drive innovation and social change in the fashion industry.
