Course Description

Every great design starts with a vision. In this hands-on course, you will create a jacket that's uniquely yours. Start by learning essentials; how to lay out and cut a pattern and use an industrial sewing machine. Using a unisex, inclusively sized pattern, you'll bring your vision to life by customizing your jacket to reflect your unique style. Throughout the course you will learn key construction techniques such as, color blocking, creating patch pockets, collars, and garment facings. Once you've completed the basics, unleash your creativity by exploring advanced customizations, including seam finishes and innovative design details. If time permits, you can also dive into additional projects to further develop your skills and push your creative boundaries. By the end of this course, you'll transform your creative vision into a professionally constructed jacket that reflects your personal aesthetic.
