Course Description

Senior Learners is designed for mature adults, 60 years of age and older, who are also New York State residents.

Begin by learning how to read knitted charts and complete basic hand-knit stitches. Knit and purl combinations, how to measure and fit properly, basic cable stitches, seams, and finishing are covered as our expert guides you to make the right decisions when incorporating stitch patterns into your hat designs. Walk away wearing your new winter hat.

Notes

See below for required course supplies. 

Bring to the 1st class: One set of straight knitting needles: size 7 or 8; two balls of worsted-weight yarn (two colors of the same brand; one light and one dark); tape measure; notepad; small scissor. Additional supplies will be explained in first class.

Please note: Classes may be canceled due to low enrollment. We recommend that you wait until a week before class starts to purchase supplies. You will be notified by email if cancellations occur. Instructor assignments are subject to change.
