Course Description

In this course, a New York City Fashion Designer will give you a behind-the-scenes look into how a designer goes from inspiration to designing a final collection. The first step is a deep dive into research, collecting inspiration, organizing it, and creating a collection mood board. Then you learn how to identify your target customer and design a collection that focuses on their lifestyle and fulfills their needs. You will learn to sketch your designs and select and render fabrics resulting in a well-merchandised collection. By the end of this course, you will have a strong understanding of the fashion design process and walk away with fundamental skills you can use throughout your fashion career.
